After the program you will have a clear vision of what to do next and joining the program is designed to prepare you for joining accelerator programs as the next stage.

What is Tampere pre-startup program?

Welcome to our pre-startup program designed exclusively for starting entrepreneurs and startup teams! Based on our global experience, we understand that generic training and coaching may not always cater to the unique needs and challenges faced by each startup.

Therefore, we have crafted a co-creation program that fosters collaboration among participating experts, other teams and relevant stakeholders in Tampere startup landscape. We focus on understanding customers actual needs, building value-proposition and MVP that are needed for sales and investment readiness and rely on essential components of building success ventures.

Drawing upon our global expertise, we believe that the journey to building a successful startup is enriched through shared experiences, diverse perspectives, and collective problem-solving. Our program provides a dynamic platform where innovative ideas are cultivated, refined, and transformed into viable business case.

Tampere pre-startup program has been produced since 2022 and is running for the 6th time during the Spring 2025. Tampere is the home where Demola journey started and with City of Tampere we want to bring our experience available for new entrepreneurs and startup teams.

Workshops

The program will have 7 workshops throughout January & February. The topics are as follow:

Each workshop starts at 13.00 and lasts for roughly 2 hours.

Community working days

Between January 15th and April 22nd, the participating teams are invited for community working days on each Tuesday and Friday during working hours. During the days, teams get to collaborate with other innovation teams and experts are also available for personal support, sparring and feedback.

Venue

All workshops and meetings take place at Tampere innovation and startup house Platform6 2nd floor (Åkerlundinkatu 8, Tampere).

As a part of the program, you will be introduced to other services and communities for entrepreneurs, so you will be able to further develop yourself and have continuation paths when the program ends!

Registering

You can register to the program throughout the Spring and join to next available session. Participation is definitely valuable even if you miss some of the sessions!

Coaches

Ville Kairamo

Ville has experience in leading innovation and startup programs in Europe, Africa, and Asia, and has an extensive experience on business development with corporates and startups and vast global networks.

Joonas Kemppainen

Joonas has been working with innovations and startups for the past 10 years and is an ex-startup entrepreneur. He is specialized in user experience and building MVPs.

Tommi Järvinen

Tommi has worked on startup development and commercialisation for more than 20 years and has helped hundreds of companies internationally.

Are you eligible?

You have a business idea OR a very early stage company;

You have a team of two or more people OR you don’t have a team yet, but you are looking to form a team during the program;

You live in Tampere region;

You are able to physically attend the trainings and coaching sessions;
