How can collaborative innovation between Finnish and Ukrainian entrepreneurs help rebuild Ukraine?

Color Up Peace, Demola and Tribe Tampere are hosting a forum and ideation session for talents and entrepreneurs in Tampere to brainstorm solutions of restoring peace in Ukraine and rebuilding the country after the destruction caused by the full-scale war in 2022, as well as 8 preceding years of external aggression against Ukraine. We strive to bring together participants from a variety of backgrounds: professionals, researchers, businesses, NGOs, students – both Finnish and Ukrainian, as well as Ukrainians who have relocated to Tampere since February 2022. Together, we will explore and develop ideas for Finnish-Ukrainian partnerships in the spheres of technology and innovation to rebuild Ukraine along these themes:

•Education (any level or multiple/all levels, depending on the team’s interests/expertise);
•Inclusive city infrastructures and good livelihoods (processes of material rebuilding, urban design,weaving social fabrics of cities, etc.);
•Women’s rights and gender equality (overall and in specific domains of participants’ choice).

The ideation process will happen in diverse teams, and each team will be assisted by facilitators and mentors. We hope that this two-day collaboration will spark creativity and boost energy for possible ongoing initiatives of support for Ukraine that some participants may already be involved in, for creating new collaborative initiatives and for creating professional friendships between Finns and Ukrainians. Further support can for the ideated solutions can be available on demand following the completion of this initiative.
