I cannot join right now, is it possible to do it sometime later this year?

We usually have six project rounds kicking off each year, so there are multiple chances to take part. You can find the timelines on our front page. We will let you know about the upcoming projects well in advance on our website, and the timelines are visible for the whole year already.
